AGUNNA TAPS INTO AFRO-ALTE VIBES ON NEW SINGLE “OMOGE META SHERE”The update
Nigerian rapper-singer-songwriter Agunna returns with a refreshing twist to his ever-evolving artistry, delivering an Afro-alte-inspired jam titled “Omoge Meta Shere.” This new single sees the genre-bending performer serenade listeners with a sultry, romantic number that leans into his softer side, affirming his readiness to go all in for love—emotionally and financially.

With bouncy melodies layered over a vibrant blend of Afrobeat, R&B, and alte textures, “Omoge Meta Shere” is more than a love song; it’s a vibe-laden commitment anthem that shows Agunna’s willingness to take care of his woman, no matter the cost. Whether you’re vibing alone or dancing with your own “omoge,” the track effortlessly positions itself as a playlist essential for fans of smooth, modern Afrofusion.
THE MAKING OF A GANGSTAR HERO
For those just tuning in, Agunna isn’t new to the scene—he’s a foundational voice in Abuja’s underground music evolution. Since breaking out in 2017 under the Blvcksheep collective, alongside names like ODUMODUBLVCK, Agunna has consistently pushed the creative boundaries of Nigerian hip-hop, Afro-fusion, and alternative music. Their joint project, @T.A.B.S (TO ALL Blvcksheep), produced standout moments like “Farabale,” a street anthem that shook the capital city and signaled the rise of a new generation of lyrical innovators.
FROM COLLECTIVE GENIUS TO PERSONAL GROWTH
In 2018, Agunna and his team took things up a notch, merging forces with Abuja heavyweights Izzgaju—comprising Reeplay, Cross, and Fatboy E—to form the powerful supergroup Antiworld Gangstars. Their debut album Gang Business quickly became a cult favorite, praised for its lyrical depth, sonic diversity, and bold experimentation. It wasn’t just an album—it was a blueprint for unity and creativity in the FCT’s bustling music scene.

While pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Agunna didn’t lose sight of his craft. His 2021 collection, Live in Owa, kept fans tuned in, offering introspective takes and personal reflections. Then came December 2024, and with it, the long-awaited Antiworld Gangstars album NOTHING CHANGED—a triumphant return that soared to the top of the hip-hop charts and cemented their place as icons in Abuja’s sonic story.
“OMOGE META SHERE” – A SOFT REINTRODUCTION
With “Omoge Meta Shere,” Agunna strips away the bravado for a moment of clarity and connection. It’s a sound that speaks to growth—not just musically, but emotionally.
