In the heart of Abuja’s creative wave stands Dr. Kozzo, a genre-bending artist whose signature sound — “Doc Style” — fuses soulful rhythm, street energy, and deep lyrical storytelling. THE JOURNEY: FROM JOS TO THE WORLD
Born Nasiru Ali in Jos, Plateau State, Dr. Kozzo’s creative spark was lit early. From playing the tenor drum during morning assemblies in primary school to leading chapel choruses at St. John’s College, Jos, music has always been part of his DNA. His leadership as President of the Art Club and his later studies in Mass Communication at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, deepened his connection to storytelling and visual expression.

That passion evolved into a multifaceted creative career — music, photography, and filmmaking — all woven together by his sharp eye for detail and narrative. Kozzo co-founded Vogue Music Group with producer T-Shayne, later establishing his own imprint, OMG (One Man Gang) Recordings, under his broader creative collective, Normalife Camp.
THE PROJECTS: A GROWING DISCOGRAPHY WITH DEPTH
Dr. Kozzo’s catalog is rich with projects that highlight his range and message. Tracks like La’Ila, Ki Zabe Ni, and Reconcile display his poetic edge and rhythmic versatility. His collaborative EPs — The Lord’s Army with BOC Madaki, and Ready or North with Langtang Mafia — further cement his influence in Northern Nigeria’s evolving music scene.
His debut EP, “Doc Style,” serves as both an introduction and a declaration — a sonic prescription blending soul, grit, and wisdom. Each record feels deliberate, shaped by life experiences and a relentless drive to tell the Northern story through music that heals, provokes, and unites.
