EMIWIZZY SET TO BRING A NEW ENERGY WITH “HAPPY DAY” FEATURING DAVID ACEKEYZ.

Coming shortly after his 2026 release “OK OK OK,” “Happy Day” finds Emiwizzy exploring a more celebratory and accessible side of his artistry. At its core, the song is built around appreciation — for life, progress, personal growth and the moments that make the journey worthwhile.

For Emiwizzy, whose real name is Chukwuemelie Agagbo, music has always been closely connected to rhythm and performance. Born in Anambra State and raised in Abuja, his musical foundation was shaped in the church choir, where he played drums at the Catholic Church of the Assumption in Asokoro, Abuja. That early relationship with rhythm continues to influence the energetic character of his music and live performances.

His professional journey began in 2017 with the release of his debut single, “King,” followed by the EMIWIZZY TO THE WORLD EP. Since then, he has steadily expanded his catalogue with releases including “Control,” “Banger (Remix),” “Abj Boy,” “Jaiye,” “ACTIVE,” and his latest project, “OK OK OK.”

That progression earned Emiwizzy a significant early career milestone in 2022, when he was named Artist of the Year at Capital Prom in Abuja, recognition that reinforced his position among Nigeria’s emerging Afro-pop talents.

Now signed to Cosco Entertainment and working with Front Logik Distro as brand consultant, Emiwizzy is entering a phase defined by sharper positioning, broader collaborations and an ambition to take his sound beyond familiar territory. His musical identity sits at the intersection of traditional African rhythms, contemporary pop and Amapiano-leaning production — a combination that has become central to his evolving sound.

“Happy Day” adds another dimension to that evolution.

The collaboration with David Acekeyz brings together Emiwizzy’s vocal and songwriting approach with Acekeyz’s production sensibilities. The result is positioned as a record that can live comfortably within everyday listening while carrying the energy and rhythm associated with Nigeria’s contemporary Afrobeats and Afro-pop landscape.

The release also arrives as Emiwizzy continues to build an independent audience around his music. His current EPK records 36.8K+ combined streams and plays across Audiomack and Spotify, alongside 620+ combined followers across the two platforms.
