Episode 12: GLADIATORS by SAVAGE 4.

• On today’s episode, we are looking at the birth of a whole new grime squad, a fantastic 4—Savage 4.
Welcome to TALK WITH US by RADARCharts. We are so happy to have you with us. What are your names and where do you come from?

We’re Simeon Kalas, OG Wan, and 09 Burdac… and we’re from Tema, Ghana.

• I’m sure our audience will want to know how the creation of the Quad Team came about.

SAVAGE 4 was formed in secondary school, actually! We all found ourselves in the same department at a random time. After showcasing our talents to the school, that was the moment we decided to form the group!

• Let’s talk about synchronizing sounds. Did you guys work on a sound system, or were each of you drillers before the link-up?

We were all solo artists before we met! We were experimenting with different sounds and dropping freestyles in various genres. When we finally met, we became drillers.

• How has the journey been so far?

The journey has been one hell of a rollercoaster! So many naysayers and doubters… but we keep pushing each and every day! Brick by brick, we’ll get to the top.

• Your new release seems to be making some waves. What are the next steps?

Yeah, BADMAN RIDDIM is a really crazy record, and it’s doing its best! As for what’s next, you’ll have to stick around to find out because what we’ve got coming is dangerous!

• Let’s talk funding and management. How have you guys managed that so far?

We’re doing this whole music thing independently—no management, no label. Everything is us… at least for now!

• If you guys were to make a BADMAN RIDDIM remix, who would be the feature?

A BADMAN RIDDIM remix? Hmm… definitely ODUMODUBLVCK and Skillibeng.

• Given the opportunity to say something to your potential fans, what’s the word?

We love each and every one of you supporting our music, and we won’t stop giving you the best we can! SAVAGE 4 to the world!
