Episode 4: DAAKYE by KOBBY IMARThe update

• Hello Kobby Imar, nice to have you in today’s episode of Talk To Us. Let’s know you officially? What’s your real name?
My real name is Acheamponf Opoku Bright.
• What inspired the name Kobby Imar?
Well, the name Kobby is the Earth name for Tuesday-borns, and Imar means a warrior, probably an archer. An archer needs to be highly focused on his target. Since I have a strong determination for my music career, I decided to choose that name.
• How long have you been into music?
Professionally, I’ve been in music for five (5) years.
• How has it been, given you’re a Ghanaian artist? How have you been keeping up?
Well, I understand perfectly that music is a brand category, and it’s not easy. You’re telling the story of people while trying to get others to understand what you’re saying. It’s not easy, but with hard work and determination, we are pushing, and I strongly believe the world will hear me soon.
• Amazing! So, how would you design your sound and its connection with your audience?
I would say my charm lies in how I preach to youths about working hard to beat all odds.
• So, what are the artists you wish to work with?
I’d love to work with Black Sherif, EASTSIDEALIEN, Jeriq, Yaw Tog, Kwesi Arthur, Gyakie, and O’Kenneth.
