Tuning the signal…

Top10: *Track

As the founder of Hussle Gang Records and Huzla Place, how do you plan to use those platforms to impact the industry?

For me, Hussle Gang Records and Huzla Place are more than just brands—they’re platforms to give a voice to raw, undiscovered talent and to create a movement. I want to build spaces where artists don’t have to compromise their truth to be heard, where hustle is respected, and where culture is celebrated. My goal is to set a standard in the industry—quality music, real stories, and a family-like network that grows together. It’s not just about my journey; it’s about creating lanes for the next wave of hustlers to shine.

What does success look like to you right now, beyond numbers and awards?

For me right now, success is peace of mind—waking up every day knowing I’m living my purpose and touching lives through my music. It’s hearing someone say a song of mine helped them through a hard time, or seeing a fan in a faraway place connect to my story. Numbers and awards are great, but the real win is growth—becoming a better artist, a better man, and making sure the people who believe in me feel proud to say they’ve been part of the journey.

What’s your take on the current state of Nigerian hip-hop, and where do you see it heading?

Nigerian hip-hop is in an interesting place right now—it’s evolving. Afrobeats has taken the spotlight globally, but hip-hop here is quietly building a new wave. Artists are blending our local rhythms, languages, and street stories into rap, making it uniquely Nigerian. I see it heading towards a space where it’s not just respected at home but making real noise internationally. And I want to be part of that wave—bringing authenticity, storytelling, and that raw hustle energy to push the culture forward.

How do you balance your street roots with commercial appeal as you grow?

For me, the streets are my foundation—that’s where my truth comes from. But as I grow, I’ve learned how to package that truth so it can connect with a wider audience without losing its soul. It’s about keeping the raw energy, the slang, the grit—but presenting it in a way that even someone who’s never been to my hood can feel it. I’m not trying to water down who I am; I’m building a bridge between where I come from and where the world is going.

What dream collaborations or stages are on your radar right now?

I’ve got a list in my head of artists I’d love to connect with—people whose energy and storytelling match mine. On the home front, I’d like to work with some of the heavyweights pushing Nigerian rap and Afrobeats forward. Globally, I want to work with artists who inspire me with their honesty and stage presence. As for stages—think global festivals like Rolling Loud, Afro Nation, or even Coachella. I see myself taking the sound from Enugu Ezike to the world, and those stages are just stepping stones.
